Better Late Than Never!

Well, I admittedly have not been nearly as diligent as had hoped on keeping my blog updated. Heck, let's be honest - I've done a pretty crappy job!! But there's always the chance to redeem yourself! Today I thought I would include some of my favorite pictures from the past couple months - which basically means pictures from Thanksgiving and Christmas since I personally study all day and don't do anything exciting beyond go visit family for holidays!! :o)

We'll start with Thanksgiving:

Eric and Sandy were out of the country on a long-awaited vacation to New Zealand...so Little ol' Zack got to stay with Mom and Dad. He and I spent some good time bonding over Thanksgiving...I kind of got the picture that he may have started to mistake me for Eric - cause man, he was LOVING me!!

My last night in Houston for Thanksgiving I stayed the night at Mom and Dad's house...where Zack was staying. I woke up in the morning to this cute little binky-faced kid wanting to crawl up in bed with me...so we started rough-housing a bit. I started to chase him around the bed and when I would catch him I would shake his butt really hard...and he would just BUST up laughing!! It was so adorable.

Then there was Elise...oh my little paparazzi queen! She could not stop looking adorable in her little glasses.

Oh hell, even I couldn't resist trying them on for a little shine in the spotlight!

Then of course there was Family Awards night! Always an interesting and hilarious affair! I've included a few shots of us presenting our awards. One of the pictures looks like Justin is taking a poop...which, ironically, though not true, would have been right in sync with the general theme of the award!

All in all, the vacation was full of laughs and fun...

And most importantly...Lots of LOVE!

Get Candy, Get Candy, Get Candy, Get Candy....

So, I decided to take a short break from studying and go trick or treating with some friends. I failed to get into the Spirit of Halloween and dress up...but I did have a really good time nonetheless! I did my worst and had the kids convinced that each of the houses we passed that didn't have their lights on was haunted...and that if we passed them without looking, then the ghosts would leave us alone! Of course, cute little Emily would call out each time we passed a house with no lights on, "I'm not looking Mark! Just moving along and minding my own business!!" haha!! Kids...they're the cutest!
There was Micah the Green Dragon, King Caleb, Jeanna "Missy Mouse" and Princess Emily...then boring old Mark and Aaron. :o)

Break Away to Houston

Thanks to Ali, I now have this cool blog site to put pictures and updates on what's been going on in my life. Just a few weeks ago, I finished my 3rd year rotaitons for school - closing it off with Pediatrics.

Of course, thanks to that rotation,
I'm now home quarantined to my
bedroom with CHICKEN POX!!
Mine don't look that nasty, but you
get the point! Ironically, I'm still
thinking that Pediatrics is the field
for me.

But, I did manage to find some time to take a break from school and go home to visit Houston.

I caught one of the "retirement" games of a childhood idol Craig Biggio...got to go and see it with Amy, Eric, Sandy and Zack...who, as you can tell if you look closely, found it much more interesting to keep all fluids outside of his mouth than inside!

Later in the week, Eric and I went to see the Dynamo and Galaxy play. It was supposed to be Beckham's inaugural game in Houston, but with his recent injuries, he turned out to be a no-show. We did get to see some good soccer and stars including Landon Donovan and Colby Jones.
The remainder of the trip was nothing but studying mixed a little hanging out with the family. Of course, this also entailed yard work - in spite of heavy downpour! Of course, this can't come as much of a surprise to anyone who's spent more than 30 minutes at my parents house...since in that amount of time, you are certain to have heard Dad using the blower at least once.

And now, back to the grind,

and stress...

with just 5 1/2 weeks to prepare for yet another examination!

One more down...who the hell knows how many more to go!

I'm starting a blog!

Hi!! I Started a blog. I'm way too busy studying, so I hired someone to make it for me. Ali, I will send a check in the mail.
Yes, that is the amount of books that I must go through, so I can't promise I'll post every day. But, I think it will be fun to keep in touch with friends and family.
